About How to Fish
Walkthrough

How to Fish Walkthrough is an independent guide and checklist site for the 2026 Dazed Games title. It is not an official wiki and is not affiliated with Dazed Games, Steam, or the publishers cited in our research notes.

Who publishes the guides

The site is maintained by one independent player-editor under the stable byline How to Fish Walkthrough Editor. The byline is a publishing identity, not a claim that this is an official Dazed Games team or a large commercial wiki. The editor reviews the footage, writes the routes, checks the public build, and handles corrections through the contact address shown on this site.

What we publish

We focus on steps a player can execute: what to prepare, where to go, what starts an encounter, how to recover from common mistakes, and what confirms progression. The Beginner Guide, Lighthouse route, and Spider Crab guide are the current editorial core.

How guides are made

Instructions begin with gameplay evidence: owner-recorded footage where it is available, item and objective text visible in the game, and official patch announcements for version changes. Useful moments are turned into clean step images, route diagrams, troubleshooting notes, and compact checklists. Reference-only third-party material is used for research and is not republished as site artwork.

Every detailed route separates three things that are easy to confuse: what the captured run directly shows, what an official update changed, and what still needs a new in-game check. Unknown prices, damage numbers, spawn odds, and trigger distances are not guessed. Older footage remains useful for stable quest order, but the page labels its recorded build when current balance or controls may differ.

Current version and correction cycle

The current release reference is Patch 1.0.12. The dedicated update status page records which mechanics changed and which walkthroughs need another gameplay pass. A page is revised when new footage changes an instruction—not merely to replace a date. Reports should include the affected URL, game version, visible objective, and the step that behaved differently.

Corrections and rights

Games change quickly. If a patch changes a route, or if you own material that you believe appears without appropriate permission, use the contact page. We review specific reports and correct or remove material when warranted.
